By the way Joe, I just asked someone to check.

The 3.01 sources are and always have been in the pub/gnat/private/old
directory. The readme specifically mentions this location. I do not
know if it is on other sites or not.

Perhaps more careful reading of documentation and less fulminating
might be more profitable :-)
