That right there would lead me to believe that he "understands" C++ by your estimation. He also seems to recognize the features of exceptions, namespaces, etc. Yet, he has been talking in class the past several classes about Ada95's advantages over C++. So, it would seem that not everyone who says that Ada95 is better then C++ simply "doesn't understand C++" ...." No one ever said that this applied to "everyone", my original remark was that it was remarkable how many people made pronouncements about C++ without knowing much about it, and that particularly people who lumpied C and C++ together as though they were one language were likely in that category. I am sure your professor does not think that C and C++ are the same language :-)
