You might be right, I just found
<http://www.estec.esa.nl/wsmwww/leon/>. So at least it's design is
originally something the ESA has GPLed.

But the ERC32 seems to be based on the SPARC V7 architecture, whilst
the Leon is based on SPARC V8... well, doesn't matter. It's cool,
anyway. :-)
