So when I heard this, it was easy to assess his > knowledge level of the C language ;-) In years of interviewing candidates for C++ programming positions, two of the weakest claimed to have taught C++ professionally, one at another company, and one at the undergraduate level at a U of Texas branch. Neither could answer simple questions about the C++ object model, nor could they manage a solution to a straightforward programming problem that could be handled in a dozen lines of code. I suppose that's to be expected as long as programming pays better than teaching programming.
