That posting quoted my suggestion to introduce block comments where the opening bracket inside a block comment is plainly prohibited. I.e., the compiler would reject your above example with a syntax error in line 3. This shows that there is a way to make block comments "safe" or "Ada-like" ... if there is an urgent need for block comments in 202x. BTW, I agree that I don't see this for "Ada 202x or whatever".
