Understanding starts at understanding the contents and the structure, not the syntax. That's essential. How does one capture dependencies of settings in kv pairs? E.g. the syntax of Samba configuration files is quite simple. That doesn't make Samba configuration something that can be easily understood, by CS majors or non-CS-majors. As an anylogy, it is quite easy to learn how to read Spanish or Russian. Without understanding a word of it. -- Georg
