A few years ago (during the .com boom) there was an engineer who was leaving because he was afraid to only have C and Ada experience. While not having a broad experience base can be somewhat of an issue it is not nearly as bad as people think. During the boom times, you could get a job no matter what since people would hire anyone that had a pizza stain on their shirt (must be a programmer).. During the bust times there are so many people available with the "right" language on their resume that having it on yours does not really change anything about the equation. As much as I like Ada and think it can help projects be successful, it has been my experience that projects get into trouble for other reasons far more often then they get into trouble for picking the wrong language.....(requirements and hidden scope growth being the big two).
