This is, for instance, targeted at communication systems such as ATM. In the end we will probably end up doing hardware/software codesign solutions. For this, however, we will be needing tools such as profilers for different processor/operating systems. Does anyone know of a coherent set of tools supporting Ada, profiling, simulation/debugging, different microcontroller cores etc. ? Since Ada supposedly has been designed with embedded systems in mind, there should be a lot out there, but so far I have not seen much. Of course, being at a open research project, we would prefer software, that is released under GPL or similar, rather than "perfect systems". As such, I would also like to hear from people that use the Gnat/Gcc system for s similar purpose. Any comments appreciated, yours Andreas Jungmaier ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Andreas Jungmaier ajung@teisa.unican.es -------------------------------------------------------------------------
