Job Description: The candidate will support the WARSIM 2000, ADA 95, MIL- STD-498 software development effort as part of the Lockheed Martin Information Systems (LMIS) Integrated Development Team (IDT) for SAIC. Will perform and provide technical leadership for the software development activities of the unit, equipment, environmental truth, or perceived truth CSCIs. These activities include software requirements analysis, preliminary and detailed design, code and unit test, SW/spiral integration and test in accordance with MS498. Will be part of a CSCI and concurrent engineering team composed of engineers from various companies and may have to provide technical leadership to them. Will serve in working groups and will provide manpower and schedule inputs. Required Skills: Must have proficient and demonstrable software engineering skills including: the ADA programming language, OOA/OOD methodology, real time system development. Must be able to provide technical guidance and leadership to analyze requirements, develop preliminary and detailed designs, and then implement those designs in a spiral development environment. Desktop publishing or word processing is a must. Excellent verbal communications skills are required to work in an IDT environment that includes engineers from other companies and members of the government's technical team. Since the government plays an active role in the IDT development, the candidate must have daily technical discussions with the customer. Must have software development experience on a constructive and/or virtual simulation project requiring DoD-STD-498 activities. Must be able to be cleared for a secret clearance.
