I agree with much of Medved comments, including that it's NOT only "about oil" Still, the above question is disturbing, because the answers are: (1) Oil is NOT essential to our survival or independence. (2) There may be valid reasons for war, but our comfort and convenience is NOT one of them! He goes a little too far on some of his other points as well.
