Date: 1996/03/29 Message-ID: #1/1 X-Deja-AN: 144770780 distribution: world organization: montana.edu followup-to: comp.lang.ada newsgroups: comp.lang.ada Date: 1996-03-29T00:00:00+00:00 List-Id: I'm thinking about writing an application in Ada for Windows NT and Windows 95. Are there any commercial vendors that have libraries for: 1) Image processing. It must be able to handle large images i.e. 4000x4000. For right now 8-bit grey scale is okay. It should be able to read/write JPEG. Other file formats would be nice but aren't required. 2) Database Management. This must support networked multi-user databases. 3) GUI for MS-Windows. It would be nice if it included support for MS-Windows NT/95 help files. 4) TCP/IP communications. 5) TWAIN scanning libraries. (optional) Obviously these need to be 32-bit libraries. Please reply via email to craigs@ril.usda.montana.edu as I am posting this for a friend. -- Louis Glassy (lou@giac1.oscs.montana.edu), MRC/GIAC Systems Support Mountain Research Center, Geographic Information and Analysis Center 222 Traphagen Hall, Montana State University, Bozeman MT 59715 USA
