One VERY spectacular crash as a direct restult of a fault in an ADA
program was the Ariane rocket in June this year. Even more awkward, the
bug would have beed found by static [software] testing!

The only reason there was not more of an outcry was the system was NOT
insured..... They have no one to blame but them selves.
