However, the index is calculated based on the number of search engine hits, which means that the more hyped a language, the higher up it is in the index. Ada is currently at position 18 while VB is at position 5. The status explanation implies that this makes VB a better suited language from a supportability point of view for "industrial, mission-critical software systems". as VB has an A rating while Ada has a B rating.
