Mountain Lion needs Xcode 4.4, which does not install by default the command
line tools /usr/bin{as, ld, make} needed by GNAT.

It is necessary to invoke:

  Xcode > Preferences... > Downloads  >  Command Line Tools: Install

It's about a 115MB download.

Once completed, GNAT GPL 2012 is resored to sanity.
