Given the common syntax between the two languages, such an integration would not require much to do, but have many benefits. That visionary programs like STARS dropped the ball on this issue is disappointing. Many of you probably are unfamilar with VHDL, despite its DoD origin and similarities to Ada. To rectify this if you are interested, a company is making a VHDL computer based tutorial available. You can contact Racal-Redac at 800-356-8352 ext 350 to get more information on their system. It requires a SPARC workstation to run, and includes a training versions of the VHDL simulator (which is why they are offering a free tutorial system). The tutorial is a sound-based multimedia program, and sounds quite interesting (I Haven't seen it). So if you are interested about VHDL, check this out. -- ************************************************************************** Greg Aharonian srctran@world.std.com Source Translation & Optimization 617-489-3727 P.O.
