They make the rules and are way bigger than you are. The way to beat Microsoft is to invent your *own* game - something that was done with Linux and now has Microsoft scared. Sure, they're big and wealthy - but that doesn't mean that someone can't come along with a better mousetrap and a different angle and find people willing to start migrating away from their stranglehold.
