On the topic of black projects I note that one of the reasons given for the short development timescales of the F-117 was the lack of external auditing. Perhaps the influence of Ada on developing robust software was underplayed, as apparently the F-117 has the aerodynamics of a fridge-freezer which must make for an "interesting" FCS. Nick Nick
