Basic was meant for beginners, VB is quite easy to learn syntax wise, but everything else require quite some knowledge. Hypercard is for Macs, isn't it? I'm talking mostly about VB, but I think that other languages (except fortran? I have heard, but never used it) sacrifise a lot in order to be easy. You are correct, of course, I ignored those languages.
