There is still a difference to note however, and that is that the work for Linux was volunteered to begin with. OTOH, M$ pays/paid for infrastructure + salaries, and then decides to give it away to in order to compete. Their economics allow them to get away with this. This creates a tough situation for any commercial competition. Free software however, is something that may bite M$ back someday. > Warren W.
