Because good help is so hard to find. All, I can report back having resolved the issue by upgrading to the GNAT 2015 toolchain, or rather after upgrading to the 2015 toolchain the problem went away. I tried on both toolchains (2013/2015) repeatedly just in case it was me, but I am now sure that the upgrade resolves the issue. Whether it was a subtle bug that has now been fixed I can't say. Many thanks to all for your time and help in resolviong the issue. Cheers Lucas
