If your target does not have an Ada compiler then there are at least two vendors (Averstar and Irvine Compiler Corporation) who has compilers which emit C code. I don't think you can maintain the C code, but as with the f2c compiler (compile fortran with C as intermediate) you are supposed to maintain the original source and get it to compile through your chosen C compiler.
