The Institute for Defense Analyses is seeking world class Ada experts to assist in performing a new function that IDA has been tasked to perform by the Ada Joint Program Office. This function involves independent technical review of Ada Compiler Validation Capability (ACVC) proposed test objectives and tests as they are being developed by the ACVC contractor. The goal of this review is to enhance the overall quality of the ACVC test suite to better serve the needs of the Ada community. A small number of qualified experts will be offered an individual consulting agreement with IDA on the order of two person months per year, renewable yearly for approximately a five year period. Minimal travel is envisioned (two trips per year). Access to a widely acceptable electronic mail source is essential. Sources will be screened against the following criteria: (a) extensive demonstratable knowledge of Ada from either a language interpreter, application user, or compiler implementer perspective; (b) demonstrated knowledge of the state-of-the-practice in Ada usage; (c) demonstrated knowledge of the ACVC test suite and/or process. This synopsis is not to be construed as obligating IDA or the Government. Interested sources should submit a resume highlighting their Ada backgrounds, plus a short essay on current strengths and weaknesses of the ACVC process (not to exceed 750 words) to Audrey Hook, IDA, 1801 N. Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311. Telephone (703) 845-6639. Responses must be received by 1 May 1991. ------- End of Blind-Carbon-Copy
