I have found it very instructive to ask students to write
a large Ada program without any assignments at all. It is
quite possible to do this! Indeed the language is fully
powerful without assignments. Now I am not saying that all
programs SHOULD be written at this extreme level, of course
not, but it is good to understand that assignments are just
a convenience not a necessity :-)
