I don't think so. If I can be brutally honest here, anyone who has that
much trouble figuring out how an "if" statement works will *never* be a
programmer, Ada or otherwise.

This might be a reasonable issue to bring up in one of those "You don't
do bit masking in Ada, you dummy you." threads. But this is not one of
those threads. In fact, the tone there generally seems to be more like
what you are looking for.
