HOOD (Hierarchical Object Oriented Design) is the preferred method for the European Space Agency projects, and has been succesfully used in various other domains, like transportation, nuclear plants, etc. It is an object oriented method, and the latest issue covers Ada95, inheritance, real-time, etc. It focuses on mastering complexity, separating concerns, mastering documentation, and more. There is a competitive market of supporting tools. Don't forget to register ASAP!
