Something you read somewhere but cannot remember where is not a very convincing reference :-) In any case, no compiler writer would have agreed to such a statement at any point during the design, since it is obviously wrong. All Ada 83 compilers had to deal with 'Address, so even if you restrict the experience to the Ada world, the idea that aliased is helpful to the compiler does not fly!
