But those complaints are stylistic, not because there was a lack of understanding of what is meant. Local rules about capitalization can be applied, just as local rules about indenting or local rules about the positioning, style or presence(!) of comments. None of these affect the correctness of the program, and the manner in which they affect the maintainability of the program is a matter for local decisionmaking.
