Just received this week the July 19, 1989 issue of Ada SLICES (the newsletter of PIWG). (Contact Herb Long, newsletter editor, at MITRE (!) Houston, 713-335-8541) to get on the mailing list. In it, they announced that the December 1988 release of the PIWG Test Suite is targeted for SOMETIME in 1989. So they're calling it PIWG X9 (where X presumably is the month - it may have to be PIWG XX9 pretty soon). The article identifies Jon Squire (jsquire@ajpo.sei.cmu.edu, 301-765-3748) as the point of contact performing the development. The distribution is handled by Rob Spray (attctc.dallas.tx.us!escort!spray, 214-907-6640). I do know that Dan Roy (Ford Aerospace, 7375 Executive Pl, # 400, Seabrook, MD 20706, 301-805-0464), the PIWG Chair, has given a number of presentations in the past six months at various SIGAda events (both DC and National) with what appeared to have been results not derived from the December 1987 suite, or at least not being distributed to the PIWG members yet, so it is quite likely that either some additional data or suite exists that is not being distributed. -- Karl --
