Message-ID: <884@spunky.NYU.EDU> List-Id: I'm sorry if this is a popular question, but why are you ppl programming with A da? I would never use it unless I had to (Like now). Since I started learning it, i didn't found anything good in it (maybe the compiler (VAX Ada) is nice). If I'm going to write big systems, I'd use C++ and force the stuff making it pass Lint so the code looks (and works) fine. (Let's see you making Lint silent..) Tell me a reason to use Ada and not another languarge. Every language (almost) was written in propose to solve some kind of problems, so the making of Ada loo ks funny to me. What did they try to make, Multy-Propose Language? Can it replace LISP or Prolog in their area? Do you want to write OS's in Ada (Good luck) ? What is Ada and Ada only is good for? -- Ury Segal | The opinions expressed are not necessarily those of the ury@cs.huji.ac.il | University or IBM, Digital, Apple, HP or anyone else.
