Message-ID: <8809170116.AA00863@grebyn.com> Date: 17 Sep 88 01:16:02 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: Grebyn Corporation List-Id: I have received numerous requests from people asking that I do something about the (excessive?) proliferation of questions concerning compiler bugs on INFO-ADA. We don't need everybody to run the program through THEIR compiler and send the results (AND duplicate the entire program) back to the entire list. Please, at least send such results back only to the originator of the message. Most vendors (some vendors?) have electronic communication capabilities (is that a buzzphrase?), and it would certainly be less annoyance to the entire list if those of you that think you have bugs could use those mechanisms to resolve your questions. Again, especially when you're running an old(er) version of a compiler than the current release. We went through this sort of issue before, and I don't think we need to go through it again. Failing that, the telephone and the postal services also provide wonderful communications technologies as well... FURTHER COMMENTS ON THIS ISSUE TO ME PLEASE. THAT'S WHAT I'M HERE FOR. -- Karl --
