Since there are a number of people who seem to have misplaced this
information:

The current release of the Ada binding for X Windows from SAIC under STARS
contract is available on the AJPO.SEI.CMU.EDU computer for retrieval via
anonymous ftp (in the UNIX directory ~ftp/public/infoada/x11 - get x11.tar.Z
in BINARY mode if you are on another UNIX site and have the compress
utility; - go to the directory ~ftp/public/infoada/x11/x11 and get the
individual files in ASCII mode if not).  It is also available from SAIC -
point of contact is provided in the original announcement, repeated below.

Release 2 of the binding is due out shortly (I have been told it is
something like the next couple weeks).  It corrects some non-portabilities
in the initial implementation.

There is only ONE binding, presumably attempting to be sufficiently portable
to work across all known compilers and hardware.

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), La Jolla, California
announces the release of its Ada Binding to the X Windows System.  This
binding opens the doors to graphic windowing systems for the Ada community.

The project, funded by the Software Technology for Adaptable, Reliable
Systems (STARS) Technical Program, provides the capability for X Window
developers to utilize the many powerful tools of the X Window system while
using the government standard Ada.  The Ada binding will generally available
for the public domain.
