AIDA-88, the only technical conference addressing the interactions of
Artificial Intelligence and the Ada programming language, will be held on
November 15-16, 1988, in the metropolitan Washington, DC area.  AIDA-88 is
the fourth in a continuing series sponsored by the Computer Science
Department of George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.  This year's
conference will include corporate sponsors and vendor exhibits.

The conference will feature a series of refereed papers on the use of AI
technology with Ada.  Topics will include the use of AI environments to
support the development of Ada software, as well as the use of Ada to
produce large-scale AI applications.  Historically, the AIDA conferences
have attracted both technical and management interest from academia,
government, the Department of Defense, and industry.

The call for papers has been released [attached in part below], with a
deadline for abstracts of June 24, 1988.  For conference information,

Papers: Authors should submit 4 copies of an extended abstract (appr. 1500
words) together with a cover page which includes title, all authors' names,
complete addresses, and telephone numbers.  References, figures and tables
are permitted.

Panel Session Proposals:  Panel session organizers should submit 4 copies of
a proposal which includes a description of the panel topics and their
relevance to AIDA-88, the name complete mailing address, and telephone
number of the panel organizer, and a list of 3-5 panelists who have agreed
to participate.
