I talked with some crypto people about it this evening and they were
supportive of the idea, though the general feeling these days is that
TLS sucks.

I don't understand what the pitch for this would be for investors
wanting to turn a profit.  It might be better to approach potential
users or even the OpenSSL consortium or whatever they call it.
