Yes, fixing and extending GNAT is difficult and requires huge amounts of time to build up the expertise. Fixing and extending libgnat requires less time and expertise. If you are contemplating a fork, you can restrict the fork to just libgnat, since the compiler's license poses no problem to anyone. BTW, thanks for the compliments. -- Ludovic Brenta.
