No one (other than yourself just now) mentioned Guayana, Kourou, or
France. Go back 3 posts. The geographic term in question was "South
America" The islands in question are indisputably dead east of South
America. Any decent map I could go out and buy, as you kindly suggested,
will show it this way.

My main point in bringing this up at all was poke fun at those folks out
there that are literally itching to flame someone over statements that
are in essence true, but technically incorrect because of their general
nature. In return I get roasted for just that reason. When I'm done
dusting the ashes off of myself, I'll have to sit back and savor the
irony.
