In those software, "reply" replies to the original poster, "reply-to-all" replies to everyone and "reply-to-list" replies to the list only, without adding the original poster. And no, I won't change the settings, I do not like setting "reply-to" addresses to mailing-lists for many reasons which would be way off-topic here. Note that this doesn't harm anyone as it is only a gateway to the real Usenet group: noone is forced to use it and everyone can setup another gateway with other settings.
