At that time, the PC based compiler was not fully qualified. I don't know the present status, but the main advantage is that the whole shebang is around $100. There are also some other systems for $500-600, whose name I forgot. A good source of information would be the Journal of Ada, Pascal and Modula-2, published by Wiley. John
