List-Id: Pat and any other interested parties, The WIS JPMO (a military organization) has placed two screen generators and two menu managers into public domain at Simtel20. We are currently preparing to send to Simtel20 a set of software that is an automatic Ada Code Generator which does what you want. With the input of an Ada record that describes the form, or message, or table that you want a MMI for; the generator creates a full up formated editor of the type you asked for. This software was also used in a modified way to create an Ada/SQL interface for a relational DBMS. The software generated has been ported from VAX to IBM PCs which have the Alsys compiler. **** WARNING **** This software is not well documented yet because it was developed on the fly in support of another specific task. I hope to have it documented by 1 Oct. YOU MUST KNOW Ada TO USE THIS TOOL!!!!!!!!! The tool itself has been developed to run on the DEC VAX Ada compiler. Rehost should not be too difficult. The tool scans the Ada record to create the needed IO routines, etc. And then passes the routines and other information to a generic formated editor or the "generic" Ada/SQL interface. If you have general questions please call (703) 285-5008, or send a note on MILNET to jcc@mitre.arpa. CPT Choiniere
