Install GNAT GPL- from http://libre.adacore.com on Debian. That would be my first choice. Red Hat seems to be prefered at my work (NASA), and it is the Linux OS officially supported by AdaCore. Red Hat provides constant updates on the machines I use; I'm not clear if they have a "security only" policy. You might be able to talk AdaCore into giving you the academic discount on paid support, since you are working for the ARG. -- -- Stephe
