Message-ID: <85@riunite.ACA.MCC.COM> Date: 13 Jan 89 21:41:23 GMT Reply-To: rfg@riunite.UUCP (Ron Guilmette) Organization: MCC Austin, Texas List-Id: I would like to know if there are any inexpensive ways for a DARPA funded research program to obtain an inexpensive (or maybe even free) Ada compiler. At one time I thought that the ALS System was being virtually given away, but I have just been told that ALS/N is NOT being distributed in source form at all. Does anyone know what the current availability of the ALS (or its derivitives) is? Who would I contact to get more info? Also, I have heard that there may be some other compilers which might be readily available for a minimal expenditure. Even if they are not finished products, that would be fine. I heard that there may be Ada compiler efforts in progress at Carnegie-Mellon University and/or at Wright-Patterson. Does anybody have the real facts? // Ron Guilmette // MCC, ES-Kit, 3500 West Balcones Center Drive, Austin, TX 78759 // (512)338-3740 // ARPA: rfg@mcc.com UUCP: {ihnp4,seismo,ucb-vax,gatech}!cs.utexas.edu!pp!rfg
