I was thinking that the -gnat2012 switch should do the trick. Or was this new for loop feature added much later?

So to what extent this -gnat2012 in GPL 2011 is effective?

If I modified the for construct to say:

        for x in b'Range loop  -- print solution
             real_io.PUT (x'img); new_line;
         end loop;

that doesn't work:

$ gnatmake -gnat2012 -I../ada mysolve2.adb
