Most certainly the C program did NOT have exception handlers! Once again, these benchmarks are intended for comparing compilers and machines, using the *same* program. Use the C version to compare C compilers, use the Ada versions to compare Ada compilers, but do not expect to use these two quite different programs to compare Ada and C.
