This is what I meant when I suggested that we need to be careful when categorizing a discipline as engineering. Perfectly respectable programs with rigorous academic requirements in math and science may not be engineering programs. It is certainly true that many computer science majors will graduate with more mathematics than some engineering students. They are still not prepared for taking the Professional Engineering exam. This thread was about the right to call youself an engineer. Florida and other states have made it clear that you need to pass the PE exam to do so. Mathematics is not enough. Richard Riehle
