I would say it the other way round:
Not everything can be put in good names, therefore comments are necessary to
express what cannot be put in the name.
But if the info is in the name, then it is repeated each time it is used;
therefore, I would discourage something like this:
LL : Natural ; -- this is the line length

in favour of the (comment-less):
Line_Length : Natural;
