One of the more succesful and original roguelikes around (and the only one I'd put as high as NetHack on a quality basis), ADOM (www.adom.de) is the work of just one person who's not released his code because he does not like the idea of other people disrupting his vision. Undoubtedly unfashionable at this time of politically-correct open sourcing, but the game is *very* good... /Lektu
