I know a university student who did this in a data structures class. Instead of writing the assignments in C or C++, he did them in Ada. Turned them in to a surprised professor. (mind you if i was a manager and you did >this to me i'ld be inclined to sack you :-). He did get a good grade in the class. The professor was not so narrow-minded as to require him to re-do it in C++. He persuaded the professor that the objective of the class was to learn the data structures and algorithms, not to use some particular language.
