This is quite unlike the situation with GNAT libraries which use a modified GPL permitting their use in any kinds of program. It also means of course that we cannot distribute getopt.ads/adb as part of the GNAT library, which otherwise might be nice to do! I certainly don't intend this as criticism in the least. Every author has the absolute right to decide how to license their copyrighted work, but it is perhaps useful that people are very aware of the important distinction here.
