But the original question was about freely-distributed open source libraries, downloaded from the net. Are you saying that folks should to run things like the Ada95 Booch Components by their procurement people? >From my experience at a large company, it would be far easier to just rewrite what I need myself! They'd make me fill out a purchase order and a sole-source justification form, then they'd flounder around for weeks trying to do a market survey...
