I don't even know what to make of such a comment.  There is a _huge_ market=
 for sub Linux/Windows microcontrollers out there (tens of billions of devi=
ces per year), and none of that market involves doing physical layer Ethern=
et using GPIO.  Obviously these parts fill a need, or they wouldn't be manu=
factured by dozens of companies and purchased by thousands upon thousands o=
f companies to be installed in billions of devices.

I only know of one, AdaMagic, and that is only Ada 95 AFAIK.  But it would =
certainly be better than nothing.
