From March 1998, Ada-Europe News and the Journal will combine, reinforcing the quarterly journal's position as the major Ada publication outside North America and trebling its number of subscribers. The title Ada User Journal will be retained and it will continue to be produced by Ada UK with Jim Briggs as Editor-in-Chief but with an expanded international Editorial Board. Members of Ada UK and Ada-Europe will receive the journal as part of their membership benefits. The Journal contains the following types of material: Refereed original articles on technical matters concerning Ada and related topics. News of interest to the Ada community. Announcements and product news from vendors. Commentaries on matters relating to Ada and software engineering. Announcements and reports of conferences and workshops. Reprints of articles published elsewhere that deserve a wider audience. Reviews of publications in the field of software engineering. Our refereeing process aims to be rapid. Typically, accepted papers submitted electronically are published 3-6 months after submission. Items of topical interest will always appear in the next edition. For more details, see our Editorial Policy Statement at http://www.adauk.org.uk/pubs/jouedpol.htm.
